The “Arizona Peace Trail” is a great way to take daily rides or planned overnight trips in the beautiful Sonoran Desert. At least a dozen regional OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) clubs, in three counties, have participated in the inventory of places to visit throughout Yuma, La Paz and Mohave Counties.

At least a dozen regional OHV (off Highway Vehicle) clubs, in three counties, have participated in the inventory of places to visit throughout the 3 counties.

Their mission is to develop a loop trail system utilizing existing trails and roads in Western Arizona connecting Bullhead City to Yuma and assist the land managers in maintaining the trail system. Work with City, County, State and Federal Agencies to keep the desert roads and trails open for public use. The group formed over a year ago to negotiate the difficulties of establishing a trail through the area. Members are working with agencies to ensure the trail is ecologically sound. The trail uses existing roads and trails.

According to J.C. Sanders, chairman of the Arizona Peace Trail Committee the group is hoping to develop a recreational opportunity and develop areas for camping and preparation so that people can go on longer trips.
